The Romans were already familiar with the healing effects of the hot springs of Leukerbad. 3,9 million litres of 51° hot water gush daily from the spa’s 65 thermal springs. Whether you are a winter skier or a summer hiker, after sporting activities, most enjoy the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate in the warm water.

In summer, hiking trails lead you to wonderful mountain views. Two cable cars link the resort with the hiking areas of the Gemmi and Torrent. A diverse summer programme of events and an ideal infrastructure make for an unforgettable family holiday.

In winter, the Torrent ski area offers wonderful conditions for both skiers and boarders over 50km of diverse trails, as well as a wonderful panoramic vista over Wallis’s 4‘000 metre peaks. There is a circuit of cross-country trails in the village or up on the Gemmi and winter hikers have over 40km of prepared paths on the Torrent, Gemmi or around the village.
